Comment Policy

CEMBlog exists in part to provide students, parents and faculty the chance to engage in constructive discussion on matters of interest to the Curb College and Belmont’s musical community as a whole. To help us achieve this objective with as little unnecessary drama as possible, please heed the following guidelines before commenting on any post:

1. Keep it clean. Profanity of any kind will not be tolerated.

2. Speak respectfully. We encourage active discussion on topics and realize this may lead to potentially heated arguments or criticisms, but please keep your remarks grounded in a basic sense of respect – i.e., no name-calling or outright antagonizing of other readers or people mentioned in the posts. Recognize that this is a public blog and anyone could end up reading what you write.

Violation of either guideline will result in the offending comment being deleted by an administrator, usually alongside a friendly “hey, this is why your comment isn’t there anymore, punk.” This measure is not intended to censor or discourage active discussion, but rather to facilitate an environment where any reader can feel comfortable expressing his or her opinion without fear of the sort of jarring animosity that the anonymity of the Internet setting often coaxes out in people. Thanks for your cooperation!

About the Staff

Dan Milliken is a sophomore Music Business major from Bethesda, Maryland. Outside of school, he leads a frenzied double-life as a frustrated singer-songwriter and amateur music journalist for Country Universe, a popular country music blog founded by a Belmont alum (Kevin J. Coyne, ‘01). He also likes naps.

Nathan Stabenfeldt is a freshman Music Business major from Evansville, Indiana. Nathan dedicates his time to his studies, as well as contemplating his next post for the CEMBlog, playing drums and percussion, and feverishly pursuing the elusive art of prog music with his companions in his tiny, overcrowded dorm room.

Robert Duello is a Sophomore Music Business Major from Hewitt, TX.  He does many things for fun, including studying, sleeping, and playing cello in two on campus bands called The Post Modern Jive and The Great White North.  He also runs another new blog, called the CollegiateCavalier.  He beckons all to come and enjoy life.
